April update time: The biggest news is that I have set a launch date for “Riddled Worlds” for June 21st (the summer solstice.) This is a young adult fantasy about a boy whose world is destroyed, and finds himself transported to a shadow world, where the apocalypse has not yet occurred. He sees an opportunity, to find out what caused his own world to collapse, and maybe get a chance to save it. But the longer he stays in the shadow world, the less familiar it becomes.

I am sending out the Advanced Reader copies for “Riddled Worlds” on May 1st. If you are interested in joining the team, I have details about the process and a signup sheet here. And of course I am happy to answer any questions on the process.

What else? I just finished a beta book swap on my next middle grade project, which now has a working title of “Bad Magic.” This is a precursor to the events of “The Quickborn Odyssey” set a thousand years prior and shows how our world is transformed. It’s still way to early to know about release date, as I am in heated negotiations (with myself) as to whether to finish it or another book that is much closer to completion first. Time will tell, and so will I once I know.

And lastly, for those just joining the newsletter, my other available titles of “The Quickborn Odyssey” (MG) and “When James Fell” (YA) are out and available. You can check out my books page for more information.

That’s all for now. Have a great month, everyone.
