Hello everyone, summer is coming to a close, and in the high country, mornings are dipping into the thirties. It’s a matter of days before we start seeing snow on the peaks.

The past two months have been a combination two things. The first is getting the word out about my dystopian YA novel, “Riddled Worlds”, which released at the tail end of June. This follows a boy as he tries to unravel the sickness that is creeping across and rotting away the reality of worlds.

Most of my effort, however, has been preparing my book for its final draft. I shipped it off for editorial review a week ago, and look forward to getting it back and moving into the final polish.

So, what will the next book look like? The working title is “Lockspell”, and it is a YA fantasy adventure set in a world overrun by massive elemental entities that are drawn to people, conflict, and above all, magic. The story follows four characters united by a common fragmented past. They are in a race to figure out what force has brought them together before the world crumbles away. Launch date is planned for early 2023.

As for other writing projects, I am working on a middle grade fantasy, which details the events proceeding “The Quickborn Odyssey” (Middle Grade, Fantasy, Adventure.) With a working title of “Bad Magic” this book has just been a blast to write so far. It combines my love of wild Carrolesque magic with the real-world wonder of Antarctica. There is a lot of work to do, but I think it will be great fun for adults and newer readers alike.

That’s all for now. Have a great week, and if you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you.
